# Are recordings anonymous?

Yes, if you use the [Chrome Extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/recordmeeting/ceeiiopimachnfmccpompcmanjhlijol), the recordings will be anonymous as you are recording your screen

If you are using the Addon, the participants in the call will receive a notification that the call is being recorded
