Supported platforms

Record Meeting records calls through two installs:

The marketing site also has a WhatsApp page, but the Chrome extension does not integrate with WhatsApp Web yet. Use the six extension platforms below.

Browser requirement (Chrome extension): Chromium-based browsers that support Chrome Web Store extensions (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc). Recording runs in your browser tab. Native desktop and mobile apps are not supported, except Google Meet on mobile via the Workspace add-on.

Option A: Google Workspace add-on (Meet only)

Best for native Meet UI and the Google Meet mobile app (iOS/Android).

  1. Install the Google Workspace add-on
  2. Join a call in Google Meet (meet.google.com or the Meet app)
  3. Click Record in the Meet controls
  4. Sign in to Record Meeting the first time to link your workspace

Recordings upload to recordmeeting.com/app when the call ends.

Option B: Chrome extension (desktop browser)

Best if you also record Zoom, Teams, Webex, Telegram, or Discord from the same browser.

  1. Install the Chrome extension
  2. Open meet.google.com in Chrome and join the call
  3. Click Record in the Meet toolbar (injected by the extension)
  4. The recording saves automatically when you leave, end the call, click record again, or close the tab

  2. Open app.zoom.us in Chrome
  3. Join your meeting using the Zoom web client (browser). The desktop Zoom app is not supported
  4. Click Record in the Zoom web client footer once the call is connected

Works on free Zoom accounts. No host permission is required because recording happens in your browser tab.


  1. Install the Chrome extension
  2. Open teams.live.com/v2/ in Chrome and join your meeting there
  3. Click Record in the Teams call toolbar once you are in the call

  1. Install the Chrome extension
  2. Open your Webex meeting in Chrome (app.webex.com or the join link from your invite)
  3. Join the call in the browser
  4. Click Record in the Webex meeting controls

No Webex host privileges or site admin approval required on the Webex side.

  2. Open web.telegram.org in Chrome (Telegram Web, /a or /k version)
  3. Start or join a voice call, video call, or group voice chat
  4. Click Record in the call controls once the call is active

The Telegram desktop and mobile apps are not supported. Use Telegram Web in Chrome.


  1. Install the Chrome extension
  2. Open discord.com in Chrome
  3. Join a voice channel, video call, or Stage event and connect to audio
  4. Click Record in the call controls that appear at the bottom of the screen

The record button only appears while you are connected to an active call. No Discord bot is added to your server.


WhatsApp is listed on recordmeeting.com for future coverage, but the Chrome extension does not support WhatsApp Web today. There is no record button integration for WhatsApp yet.
